This page serves as your official DesertCrown Kitten Purchase Agreement. All buyers are required to review this agreement prior to placing a deposit, sending payment, reserving a kitten, or taking possession of a kitten.
A signed copy of this agreement is preferred for our records but is not required. In the event that a buyer does not request, sign, or return a physical copy, all terms and conditions outlined on this page remain fully enforceable and binding.

If you choose to sign in advance, you may bring the signed agreement with you when coming to choose or pick up your kitten, or return it to us prior to sending a deposit if you wish to reserve a kitten.
No reservation needed: If you wish to choose and take home a kitten the same day, you may do so, with the full purchase price due at pick-up. Payment of a deposit, full payment, or taking possession of a DesertCrown kitten constitutes acceptance of all terms outlined in this agreement.
You may choose to reserve one of our precious British Shorthair kittens, if you do please contact us directly via phone, text, or email first, as this page needs to be signed and returned pritor to you placing a deposit.
Specific kitten reservation: Deposit is half of the kitten’s total price. For example, if the kitten is of breeding quality and its full price is $3,000, the deposit is $1,500. All deposits are non-refundable but transferable to another kitten in any event where that specific kitten unexpectedly becomes unavailable.
Kittens ready to go: If a kitten is already at the age to leave for their new home and no deposits have been placed, the full price will be due at the time of choosing the kitten.
Do not send payment until availability is confirmed and all details are discussed.
Selection Process: Reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Families with confirmed deposits will be listed on the reservations page, and their chosen kitten will be marked as reserved on the available kitten page.
Remaining balance: Due upon meeting in person. Payment must be made payable to Nadine Sinn in cash, Zelle, cashier’s check, or money order.
All meet-and-greets and adoptions are in Phoenix, Arizona at our Gilbert location.
Out-of-town buyers: Responsible for their own transportation and accommodations.
Safety: All meetings scheduled in advance; kittens only released after agreements are completed.

Either a WCF or TICA registration depending on Parents Document Status (if requested; only kittens with breeding/show quality will receive lineage paperwork and titles)
Breeding rights: If purchased, allow 30 days for paperwork and certificates to be processed and delivered.

Absolutely. I’d tighten it substantially while keeping the important protections, including that the kitten is sold in apparent good health at the time of sale.
Health Guarantee & Condition at Sale
The kitten is sold in apparent good health at the time of sale, to the best of the breeder’s knowledge.
72-Hour Health Guarantee: If, within 72 hours of possession, a licensed veterinarian confirms a serious, life-threatening health condition, the Buyer may return the kitten to DesertCrown Cattery for a replacement kitten. All veterinary, transportation, and return costs are the Buyer’s responsibility.
If the kitten dies within 72 hours, the Buyer must obtain a veterinary necropsy and laboratory testing to determine the cause of death and provide DesertCrown Cattery with the veterinarian’s written report and all supporting documentation within 24 hours of death. Failure to provide the required documentation within this timeframe voids all claims under this guarantee. DesertCrown Cattery is not responsible for any necropsy, laboratory, veterinary, transportation, or related costs.
If the death is confirmed to have resulted from a covered condition, DesertCrown Cattery will provide a replacement kitten within one years time. An additional $500 fee, payable to Nadine Sinn, is required at time of pick up to compensate for the breeder’s loss. No additional refund, replacement, or compensation will be provided.
Buyer agrees that their kitten must be kept indoors only and receive regular veterinary care.
By signing this agreement, the buyer acknowledges:
They have read and understood all purchase terms, including deposits and payment requirements.
They understand all kittens are sold as described, and pet-quality kittens do not include breeding rights unless purchased as such.
They agree to provide a loving, safe, and responsible home.
They acknowledge that all deposits are non-refundable.
They agree to maintain veterinary care and follow DesertCrown’s guidance for kitten health and care.
They understand that if a kitten is already at the age to leave for a new home and no deposits have been placed, the full purchase price will be due at the time of choosing the kitten. Or if you need time to arrange picking up your kitten, Half is due to reserve your kitten and the other half is due at pick up which must be within 30 days if kitten is already at the age to leave.
They acknowledge that kittens must be kept indoors, provided proper nutrition, and receive regular veterinary care.
They understand that behavior is not guaranteed, though kittens are socialized and raised to be confident, friendly, and well-adjusted. I give the best possible information on each kitten's personalities on their own pages.
Pet-only kittens must be spayed or neutered promptly if sold not currently fixed. They may not breed. If a DesertCrown Cattery pet-only kitten produces kittens at any time, the buyer agrees to promptly pay a one time fee of $2000 more to DesertCrown Cattery and paperwork/pedigree still will not be given.
Health Coverage, Stress, Eye Discharge & Diet: The kitten comes with included health insurance/health coverage. If the Buyer has any concern about the kitten’s health or notices anything unusual, they are encouraged to use the included coverage and have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian.
Mild eye discharge can be common in kittens, especially during stressful transitions. Moving to a new home, leaving their mother and littermates, meeting new people or animals, and experiencing unfamiliar surroundings, smells, handling, and routines can all cause temporary stress. Mild discharge during this adjustment period does not necessarily indicate illness and is not grounds for return or replacement. Owners should gently keep the kitten’s face and eyes clean with a soft cotton pad. If discharge becomes excessive, persistent, thick, discolored, or is accompanied by redness, swelling, lethargy, or other concerning symptoms, the Buyer should promptly seek veterinary care.
To help reduce stress and digestive upset, the Buyer should continue feeding the kitten the foods it has been eating prior to adoption: Purina ONE Kitten dry food and 9Lives Kitten soft food. Any dietary changes should be introduced gradually rather than immediately after bringing the kitten home.
Free Health Coverage Activation: Information on activating your kitten’s complimentary health coverage will be provided once a deposit is made. This coverage must be activated either one day prior to pickup or on the day of pickup. Kittens may not leave without active health coverage in place—no exceptions unless you provide a screen shot of your kitten activated onto another pet insurance plan you already carry.
